What Awardees Say about IISMA

"IISMA has given me the opportunity to learn more than what I received from my university in Indonesia. I made connections with the local and international students, as well as the professors from different disciplines at Penn State University. I have also experienced a rich academic environment and culture, allowing me to learn about subjects outside of my field of study, such as Human Resources and Economics. Moreover, I have gained important insights from experienced professors in their respective fields. All in all, IISMA has developed my skills and shaped my mindset to be ready to engage in the international community in the future."
Arsyi Aziz
Universitas Hasanuddin's student at Penn State University
"Living abroad for approximately five months has helped me—an introverted person—to be more comfortable with socializing especially with new people, and as a result, I have made a lot of friends and good connections with students from all around the world. With my fellow IISMA Pécs awardees, I have also actively participated in charity and cultural events, and this would not have been possible without IISMA, so I am extremely grateful to the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia and IISMA for the life-changing opportunity."

Melania Mawar Sekar Asri
Universitas Gadjah Mada's student at University of Pécs
"Saying that my time at Boston for 4 months was life changing is an understatement. Never came to my mind that I would cross the continent, living a life with people from different countries, and making new close friends in a city that I've been aspiring for. My IISMA experience was fantastic as I had the chance to see wider and dig deeper on things that I like and dislike, and at the same time preparing for my professional journey that came afterward.

Eleazar Evan Moeljono
Universitas Brawijaya's student at Boston University
